Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
DrawSort LLC ("DrawSort," "we," "us") operates drawsort.com — a service that indexes engineering drawing packages for firms and building operators. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: kiellandbrown@drawsort.com.
2. What we collect
- Account information — name, email, and organization membership, managed through our authentication provider.
- Demo requests — the name, email, firm, and message you submit on our contact page.
- Customer Content — the drawing packages (PDFs) you upload and the data extracted from them (drawing numbers, titles, schedules, rooms, equipment).
- Billing information — subscriptions are processed by our payment processor; we store subscription status and references, never your card number.
- Operational logs — service logs (requests, errors, job status) used to run and secure the Service.
3. How we use it
- To provide the Service: hosting, processing, and displaying your drawing packages and their extracted data to your organization.
- To respond to demo requests and support inquiries.
- To bill subscriptions and enforce plan limits.
- To secure, debug, and improve the Service.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your Customer Content to train machine-learning models.
4. AI processing and service providers
Extraction is AI-assisted: pages of your uploaded drawings (text and images) are sent to our AI processor to read titles, schedules, rooms, and equipment. Under our API agreements, that processor does not use this data to train its models. We use these subprocessors:
- Anthropic — AI extraction of drawing content.
- Amazon Web Services — cloud hosting, file storage, and database (United States).
- Clerk — sign-in and organization management.
- Stripe — payment processing.
5. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure the Service. We do not run advertising trackers on drawsort.com.
6. Retention and deletion
How long we keep a file depends on which way you used DrawSort.
Workspace (signed-in organizations)
- Customer Content is retained while your organization uses the Service.
- Deleting a project removes its uploaded files and extracted data from the Service.
Single-set scans (no account)
- If a scan is never paid for, we delete the PDF you uploaded 30 days after processing finishes. The data extracted from it — sheet numbers, titles, rooms, equipment — is kept, so your CSV, JSON, and dashboard downloads keep working. Only the navigable PDF needs the original file, so that one becomes unavailable and you would need to re-upload the set.
- If you paid for a scan, we keep your uploaded PDF so your deliverable stays downloadable. Email us when you want it removed.
Everything else
- Account and billing records are kept as required for legal and accounting purposes.
- To request deletion of your data, email kiellandbrown@drawsort.com. This is the route to use for a scan, which has no account to sign in to.
7. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Workspaces are isolated per organization with role-based access control, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; report concerns to the email above.
8. Sharing
We share personal data only with the subprocessors listed above (to provide the Service), or when required by law. We do not sell or rent personal data.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Email us and we will honor applicable requests. If you are in the EU/UK, our legal basis for processing is performance of contract (providing the Service) and legitimate interest (securing and improving it).
10. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be noticed on this page (and by email for account holders). The "Last updated" date reflects the current version.
